Itinerary
Wuhou Temple is a place in honor of Zhuge Liang, the prime minister of Shu Han, and it is also a major attraction in Chengdu. Kuanzhai Alley consists of three parallel ancient streets: Kuan Lane, Zhai Lane, and Jing Lane, all of which are antique-style courtyard houses with green-tiled roofs. It is one of the well-preserved Qing Dynasty ancient streets in Chengdu and, together with Daci Temple and Wenshu Monastery, is known as one of the three historical and cultural city protection districts in Chengdu. Kuan Lane mainly showcases the reproduction of old Chengdu lifestyle, Zhai Lane focuses on western cuisine and artistic leisure, while Jing Lane is a representation of the bustling market scene of old Chengdu.
Xiaotong Lane is renowned for its unique artistic atmosphere and refreshing style. The small shops here all have their own distinct characteristics. Jinli is a famous pedestrian commercial street in Chengdu, mainly featuring the culture of the Three Kingdoms period and traditional Sichuan folklore. The street is 550 meters long, covering an area of over 30,000 square meters with a building area of more than 14,000 square meters. Jinli is composed of a large number of imitation ancient buildings in the architectural style of the late Qing Dynasty. The bar and entertainment area, famous food and dining area, mansion and inn area, and special tourism craftwork exhibition area are well-arranged, earning it the reputation of "the First Street of Western Shu" and being hailed as the "Chengdu Version of Along the River During the Qingming Festival".
Du Fu Thatched Cottage, the former residence of the "Poet Sage" Du Fu during his exile in Chengdu, has now become a museum that integrates the style of a memorial temple with the ambiance of the poet's old home. The Anshun Arch Bridge at the head of the bridge is often mistaken for Jiuyan Bridge, but they are actually two different structures.
